Vice President of Mission Expansion
Primary Responsibilities
Summary of Position:
- As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President of Mission Expansion sets and stewards the strategic direction that connects Sightline’s resources with the people who need them most. Overseeing both U.S. and International partnerships, this role bridges content with context—ensuring our tools are delivered, adopted, and multiplied across diverse ministry environments. This role is rooted in deep collaboration across Sightline and Cru, with a relentless focus on expanding the reach and impact of the gospel.
The Kind of Work You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead Sightline’s Mission Expansion department—including U.S. and international teams—ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals
- Champion the integration of Sightline tools across Cru ministries and global partners
- Cultivate high-level relationships across ministry networks, field organizations, and publishing platforms
- Represent Sightline at key global gatherings, conferences, and Cru forums
- Identify emerging opportunities for strategic growth and resource distribution
- Translate organizational vision into actionable, measurable initiatives that serve real ministry needs
- Coach and lead the Directors of U.S. and International Partnerships, modeling a “serve-first” leadership posture
- Oversee departmental planning, budgets, KPIs, and strategic reporting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Content, Development, and Operations teams to ensure cohesive execution
- Serve as a key thought partner on the Executive Leadership Team—offering insight, clarity, and spiritual discernment
- Inform content creation and innovation based on field feedback, emerging trends, and gospel needs
- Support Development with stories, vision framing, and project insight that fuels funding efforts
- Embody and model personal spiritual disciplines, contributing to the culture of prayerful dependence and Holy Spirit-led leadership
ABOUT MISSIONARY POSITIONS
Cru is a faith-based organization, and as supported staff (missionary) you will receive a non-traditional salary (including benefits and ministry expenses) through the faithful giving of your personal partnership team. We provide extensive training and resources as you build your financial and prayer partnership team.
Non-traditional salaries are needs-based determined by factors of housing and personal expenses based on geographic location, including dependents and their ages, retirement savings, ministry expenses and taxes. Although salaries vary significantly and it’s not possible to provide an exact number for this position, a typical non-traditional salary for a missionary household is $42,600 to $80,982 annually. These salaries do not include your partnership-raised funds for health insurance, worker’s compensation insurance, or Cru assessment.
