Customer Service Associate
Primary Responsibilities
Summary of Position:
As a Customer Service Associate, you will be one of the first voices people encounter when they reach out to Sightline. Whether it’s answering questions, responding to prayer requests, or fulfilling orders, you’ll represent the mission with warmth and professionalism. You’ll also help support the operations of our office and resource center, ensuring that both people and processes are well served.
The Kind of Work You’ll Be Doing:
Customer Care & Communication
- Respond with compassion and clarity to phone calls, emails, and letters from individuals seeking resources, support, prayer, or information
- Serve as the ministry’s welcoming presence—receiving visitors, directing inquiries, and stewarding communications
- Coordinate with internal staff to ensure timely responses and appropriate follow-through
Resource & Order Management
- Process and fulfill orders (phone and online) with accuracy and warmth
- Send resources to individuals in hardship, correctional facilities, or special ministry requests (e.g., auctions or benefits)
- Maintain the ministry’s logistics center—organizing inventory, supplies, and storage
Administrative & Ministry Support
- Manage weekly mail, count sales/offering income, and prepare prayer updates for Sightline and Cru
- Compose letters on behalf of leadership and support operational needs like room reservations and volunteer coordination
- Track and communicate publishing corrections with US resource partners
Spiritual Leadership & Ministry Culture
- Plan and lead weekly prayer times, preparing devotionals and coordinating prayer requests
- Live and lead as a member of Cru’s Missionary Order—engaging in personal spiritual growth, evangelism, and team rhythms of prayer and worship
- Participate in ministry gatherings, retreats, and special events with a heart for presence and support
ABOUT MISSIONARY POSITIONS
To work with Cru as a full-time missionary staff member, you’ll raise financial support to cover salary, benefits and ministry expenses. We’ll provide you with the resources and training you’ll need to find and develop your team of ministry partners.
