Vice President of Operations
Primary Responsibilities
Summary of Position:
The Vice President of Operations leads Sightline’s core operational functions—Finance, LDHR, Facilities, Technology, Legal Coordination, and Administration—ensuring that every aspect of the ministry’s engine is built for mission and health. As a key partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, this role drives alignment, execution, and cross-functional collaboration so that vision becomes actionable and ministry impact is sustainable.
The Kind of Work You’ll Be Doing:
Strategic & Executive Leadership
- Translate ministry-wide vision and strategy into executable, measurable operational plans
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to steward ministry planning, budgeting, and performance tracking
- Guide cross-functional alignment across departments, ensuring teams are rowing in the same direction
- Facilitate executive rhythms—agenda setting, decision tracking, and follow-through on key priorities
- Build trusted partnerships across Cru’s national teams to advocate for shared resources and alignment
Operational Oversight
- Lead and equip a high-performing operations team across LDHR, Finance, Facilities, Technology, Legal Coordination, Risk Management, and Administration
- Build scalable systems and infrastructure that support both growth and mission fidelity
- Oversee compliance with internal policies and external regulations while maintaining operational integrity
- Drive innovation and process improvement to maximize impact and efficiency
- Navigate key contracts, licensing agreements, and vendor relationships on behalf of the organization
- Foster a healthy culture of accountability, feedback, and communication across all operational areas
Spiritual & Missional Leadership
- Contribute to the spiritual leadership of Sightline, cultivating an environment marked by dependence on the Holy Spirit, mutual trust, and personal growth
- Live and lead as a Cru Missionary Order staff member—engaging in evangelism, discipleship, and the spiritual rhythms of the team and broader ministry
Organizational Representation

To work with Cru as a full-time missionary staff member, you’ll raise financial support to cover salary, benefits and ministry expenses. We’ll provide you with the resources and training you’ll need to find and develop your team of ministry partners.
